Born in the United Kingdom but now splitting his time between the south-east Asia region and Europe, Paul is a veteran leader in international resort development consultancy. One of the industry’s most respected consultants, he has set up over one hundred resort and mixed-use projects in twenty markets during his 35-year career. Key strengths include mixed-use resort development, branded residences, shared ownership, private residence clubs, fractional ownership projects, alternative accommodations and hotel-related real estate.
Paul’s forward-looking vision and enviable breadth of experience has won him plaudits among leading international business analysis providers including the Economist Intelligence Unit, Mintel, and Lexis Nexis. He has authored sector-defining studies on hotel and mixed-use resort development, the Southeast Asian vacation ownership market, the global resort industry, and the international vacation ownership industry. He has also published numerous Articles on the Outdoor Accommodations Industry, Tented Accommodations and Glamping in particular.
Paul has held senior executive roles at international hospitality brands including Starwood and boasts clients hailing from Arthur D. Little, De Vere Hotels, Dubai Holdings, Hg Capital, Hilton Group, Interval International, Marriott Vacation Club International, Onyx Hospitality Group, RCI, Rank Group, Six Senses, Sunterra, Thakral, Thomas Cook, TUI AG, as well as an extensive list of independent boutique hospitality companies and developers.

Jim Sabot is a highly experienced executive serving the Shared Ownership/Resort Real Estate industry for over 30 years. He is an industry leader, with both strategic and operational experience and a consistently outstanding track record on a global basis.
Jim built a solid industry foundation in his native United States. He co-founded and served as president of Vacation Promotions International, Inc. (VPI) which provided turnkey services from feasibility through sell-out to vacation ownership developers in the 1980’s – 90’s. Since moving to Australia in 1999, Mr. Sabot’s primary focus has been Asia/Asia Pacific both as a consultant to and as an employee for the region’s largest and most successful publicly held resort industry players.
Much of Jim’s focus has been on start-ups and turnarounds. Over the last 15 years he has held key executive positions at Trendwest Resorts South Pacific (now Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific), Accor Vacation Club, and Anantara Vacation Club – three of Asia Pacific’s top producing publicly held companies – as well as providing consulting services to companies including VXL Capital China Ltd, Dransfield Hotels and Resorts (Australia), International Resort Development Services, Inc. (USA), Minor International PLC (Thailand) and many others. Over the period he has shared direct P. & L. responsibility for over US$700 million in revenue.
Jim brings valuable experience and insight to Dean and Associates from feasibility though to the operational start-up phase and beyond for any resort real estate product – whole ownership, points based or fractional interests.
Michael Qu Qin is the managing partner of Law View Partners based in Shanghai, China, where his legal practices cover the areas of real estate, foreign investment and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience as a lawyer for over 12 years. In his practice, Michael has successfully represented investors in the real estate, retail and hospitality sectors, senior housing, asset management, in dealing with commercial transactions and disputes.
Michael is active in the hospitality and senior housing industry. He is a frequent speaker in the real estate and hospitality seminars, such as Alternative Ownership Conference Asia-Pacific (AOCAP), Hong Kong, 2012 and 2013) and International Association for Housing and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA), Shanghai, November 2013. He is also a lecturer of China’s Legal Training Center, frequently deliver speeches on the topic of the practice on development and operation of commercial real estate. Being a legal professional that has been involved in the mergence of timeshare products for years, Michael can private investment in the field, providing counsel regarding product structuring, company and capital formation, project development and acquisitions, regulatory issues on operation, corporate finance, etc.
Michael obtained his LLM from China Renmin University and has started his legal practice as of 2002. Prior to co-found Law View Partners, he has a variety of working experiences as in-house counsel in multinational group and private law practice in both domestic and international law offices.
